It is a family-run spa with around 40 years of history, now in the hands of Kadek and his family, who represent the third generation and convey genuine dedication in every detail. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a sweet lemon drink, which was a very kind gesture. We chose the 90-minute traditional Balinese massage and the experience was great. The room was immaculate, with spacious and very comfortable massage tables, and a carefully designed atmosphere that invites you to disconnect. The outdoor area, with a fountain and a small pond, contributes to an atmosphere of total peace. To finish, we were offered a delicious ginger tea, which rounded off the experience perfectly. My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience doing the couples spa package at Tegal Mesari Spa. Not only is the spa itself so serene and straight out of a postcard, the staff are some of the friendliest people we’d ever met. The community-oriented nature of this spa made it feel like a real family. They went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful and romantic Balinese massage experience. To not get completely soaked, we sought shelter underneath a roof, which happened to belong to Tegal Mesari. The man at the reception welcomed us to wait out the rain and even let us put down our luggage to guard it from the pouring rain. When we figured out that we were at a massage spa, we decided to try it out whilst waiting for the rain to stop. We were shown to a waiting area with comfortable chairs and a nice pond with Koi fish in it. A young girl served us exquisite lemonade and greeted us politely in outstanding English. The massage was high-quality and the therapists performed with skill, effort and attention. I think the ambience provided, set the mood perfectly and we were able to fully relax and enjoy the massage. Everything felt nice and clean and you can tell that there is passion and discipline behind this business. The owner together with her family and staff are genuine and friendly people and I would love to visit again. After the massage we were offered tea and spent some time chatting with the owner. The location might be a bit remote from the city-center, but it is well worth the short trip. Beautiful surroundings as well. 10/10
